The Attorney-General has now approved the revised Protocol which allows private lawyers to provide legally-assisted family dispute resolution (FDR) to clients in Family Relationship Centres, and represent them in subsequent litigation. The revised protocol is now effective and clients may engage a private lawyer for these purposes. Further details about the changes are outlined in the attached letter.
